😊조 라이트 목사 (Rev. Joe Wright)가 캔자스 상원의 새 회기 개회사를 부탁 받았을 때, 모두들 일반적인 대답을 예상했습니다,하지만 그들이 들은 것은 이것입니다:

"하나님 아버지, 오늘 우리는 당신의 용서를 구하고 당신의 인도와 가이드를 구하기 위해 당신 앞에 나왔습니다.

• "악을 선이라 부르는 자에게 화가 있으리라"는 주님의 말씀을 알고 있습니다만, 저희는 바로 그런식으로 행동했습니다*. 

• 우리는 영적 균형을 잃고 가치관을 뒤집었습니다.

• 우리는 주님의 말씀의 절대 진리를 조롱하면서 그것을 다원주의라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 다른 신들을 숭배하며 그것을 다문화주의라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 변태를 지지하고 그리고 그것을 대안적인 라이프 스타일이라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 가난한 사람들을 착취하고 그것을 복권이라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 게으름을 보상하고 그것을 복지라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 태아를 죽이고 그것을 선택이라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 낙태를 정당화하기 위해 낙태를 반대하는 사람에게 총을 쐈습니다.

• 우리는 자녀를 훈육하는 것을 소홀히하고 자존감을 키우는 것이라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 권력을 남용하고 그것을 정치라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 공금을 횡령하고 이를 필수 경비라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 뇌물주는 것을 합법화하여 그것을 업무 촉진이라고 불렀습니다. 

• 우리는 이웃의 재산을 탐내면서 그것을 야망이라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 욕설과 음란물로 공기를 오염시키고 이를 표현의 자유라고 불렀습니다.

• 우리는 선조들의 오랜 가치를 조롱하고 그것을 계몽이라고 불렀습니다.

♡오 하나님, 오늘 우리를 찾아주시고 우리의 진실된 마음을 알아주시길 원합니다;
모든 죄로부터 우리를 깨끗케 하시고 우리를 자유롭게 하소서. 아멘!"

의회의 반응은 아주 즉각적이었습니다. 많은 의원들이 기도 도중 항의의 뜻으로 밖으로 나가버렸습니다. 

그러나 라이트 목사가 담임으로 있는 센트럴 크리스천 교회는 6주 동안 5,000건 이상의 전화를 받았습니다. 그 5,000건 이상의 전화 중에 단지 47건만이 부정적인 반응을 보였습니다.

현재 전 세계 인도, 아프리카, 한국 교회들에서 이 기도문 사본을 요청하고 있습니다.
주님의 도우심으로 이 기도가 우리 나라를 휩쓸기를 바랍니다.
그리고 전심으로 우리의 소원이 되어 다시 한 번 "하나님 아래에 하나의 나라“가 되어지길 소원합니다.

♡ This interesting prayer was given in Kansas, USA, at the opening session of their Senate. 

It seems prayer still upsets some people. 

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities,
but this is what they heard: 

😂  "Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness  and to seek your direction and guidance. 

♡We know Your Word says: "Woe to those who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done.* 

♡ We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.*  

♡We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.

♡ We have worshipped other gods 
and called it multiculturalism.

♡ We have endorsed perversion 
and called it alternative lifestyle

♡ We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

♡ We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

♡ We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

♡ We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

♡We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem

♡We have abused power and called it politics.

♡We have embezzled public funds and called it essential expenses

♡We have insitutionalised bribery 
and called it sweets of office.

♡We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

♡ We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

♡ We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. 

♡Search us, Oh GOD, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!" 

😈 The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out  during the prayer in protest. 

♡In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor,  logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. 

♡The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea. 

😆 With the LORD'S help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and WHOLEHEARTEDLY become our desire so that we again can becalled 
"ONE NATION UNDER GOD."
